Some wonderful principals I noticed:

  • Always sitting around the table never eating on the run
  • Daily visits to the farmers market to buy  fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables
  • Many different flavours at one meal
  • Very little alcohol consumed
  • Almost no daily or bread served
  • Rice or noodles with every meal
  • Every meal includes a soup, two or three vegetables, a meat or fish  dish, rice or noodles, chili sauce dip and  pickles
    Soup pot restaurants are very popular where you can add anything you like of many on offer.
