Conscious Breathing

Breathing is very important

  • to bring fresh oxygen to nourish the body cells. Breathing is the transport system (like a train stopping at every station, breath takes nutrients to every cell)
  • waste products are exchanged and toxins are expelled out through the breath

When you do not breathe fully and deeply often enough:

  1. toxins are not removed
  2. you feel tired and sluggish
  3. you are easily irritated
  4. your bad temper is close to hand
  5. you have an inability to concentrate fully

Start your day every day for the rest of your life by just breathing consciously

Breathe in calm as you enjoy the aromas in nature
Breathe in calm as you enjoy the aromas in nature

Start with just three deep abdominal breaths first thing in the morning before you get out of bed. You can do it anywhere anytime.

Four easy steps:

1. Breathe in

  • Keep your eyes gently closed
  • Wear a soft smile on your face
  • Breathing in soft, slow, long and deep (to the count of one, two , three)
  • Allow the breath to move deep into your belly – allow the belly to rise to meet the ceiling
  • Feel the  breath as it enters your nose
  • Focus your intention on drawing in the morning energy into your body to nourish, nurture and invigorate you for the day ahead
  • Be sure to check your mind is not wondering -bring it back to the breath.

2. Hold your breath gently for the count of three (This is for the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide) Your  first AH HA moment of bliss.

  • No breath in
  • No breath out
  • Feel the peace
  • Feel the stillness
  • Be sure to check your mind is not wondering -bring it back to the breath

3. Breathe out

  • Breathing out soft, slow, long and deep( to the count of one, two , three)
  • Open your mouth and use the universal “AAH” sound with the intention of releasing tightness from the body  and negative thoughts from the mind
  • Feel the breath as it leaves your nose
  • Be aware of the gentle fall of the shoulders and the belly
  • Empty the lungs completely
  • Be sure to check your mind is not wondering -bring it back to the breath

4. Hold your breath gently for the count of three (This is for the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide) Your second AH HA moment of bliss.

  • No breath in
  • No breath out
  • Feel the peace
  • Feel the stillness
  • Be sure to check your mind is not wondering -bring it back to the breath

Repeat step one to four three times. It only takes a few minutes every day for a lifetime of peace!
